THE PROJECT
Project:
Gigi’s
A space meant to pull you in and make you want to stay. For Gigi’s, the goal was an intimate wine bar with quiet nods to its French-Vietnamese roots—layered, moody, and full of texture.
Elm wood wraps the walls and anchors the furniture, while grasscloth, copper, brass, and jade-colored stone bring in warmth and a bit of glow. Deep reds and burgundy tones run throughout, setting the tone. Some of our favorite moments are the custom backbar shelving and the oversized linear light floating above the bar—both designed to echo the bar’s angled shape and add a bit of sculptural weight.
The space had previously been a bakery, so it called for a full transformation—adding a bar where there wasn’t one, fully building out a kitchen, and creating a separate bottle shop next door with custom shelving.
The result feels layered, intimate, and just a little transportive—exactly what we were after.
